Germany: Dry, mild weather to bring a pleasant start to weekend
Anyone with outdoor or travel plans across Germany early this weekend will be greeted by dry, mild weather.
A period of dry weather with near- to above-normal temperatures will span Friday and Saturday.
High pressure will be centered over the North Sea, forcing a storm crossing southern Europe to stay south of Germany.
Dry weather will prevail throughout Germany on Friday with a mixture of sunshine and clouds. However, more sunny spells will be found from Cologne to Hamburg to Berlin.
Temperatures will range from 10-13 C (50-56 F) across the north to 14-17 C (57-63 F) across the south.
Similar temperatures will continue for the start of the weekend underneath a partly sunny sky.

"Saturday could prove to be the better half of the weekend as the high may retreat briefly and allow two weak storms to converge on central Europe," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Kristina Pydynowski said.
Thicker clouds will arrive on Sunday along with cooler air from the northeast. This combination will result in lower temperatures, especially in the east and south.
High temperatures will range from 9-11 C (48-52 F) in the east to 12-14 C (53-58 F) in the west.
"Residents in southern parts of Bavaria, including Munich, and Baden-Württemberg should plan on grabbing an umbrella before heading out on Sunday as a couple of showers will be around," Pydynowski said.
"If the one storm dropping down from the north has enough moisture, it is also not out of the question for a shower to dampen other parts of eastern Germany."
High pressure will regain control from Monday through Thursday, allowing dry weather to prevail daily.
Cooler air will remain over Germany on Monday before a change to unseasonable warmth occurs Tuesday into Wednesday.
