Big, severe storm event coming this weekend

With it getting hot and humid in advance of the next storm system to move out of the Rockies on its way east, there is going to be quite a bit of severe potential in parts of the South this weekend. We're likely to see some tornadoes along with a lot of damaging hail and wind. Early next week, the threat level will diminish, but it won't go to zero as the a cold front moving in will become stationary over the Deep South. We'll see the severe storm risk return to the Plains around the middle of next week.
