Deadly Tsunami Height Map, Graph
I know that earthquakes and tsunamis aren't weather-related, but because it's a major science headline we're covering it on AccuWeather.com. CNN says over 100 people have been killed by the tsunami in the Samoa area. Also, another earthquake has struck south of Sumatra, famous for the Christmas Tsunami of 2004.

I was having trouble visualizing what the tsunami heights actually were until I found this excellent map and graph from NOAA:

They also listed the observed heights (not to say the tsunami wasn't higher where there weren't gauges):
- Pago Pago: 5.9 Feet
- Hawaii: 1.19 Feet
- California: 1.38 Feet
