Snow blanketed Chicago Tuesday into Tuesday night, but it was an earthquake that residents in the western suburbs woke up to this morning. The 4.3-magnitude earthquake was centered four miles west-northwest of Virgil, Ill., and 48 miles west-northwest of Chicago. The earthquake occurred right before 4 a.m. CST.
There are no initial reports of damage or injuries. One listener on Chicago's
WBBM-Radio reported that pictures fell off his wall.
