Top Three Videos from the Perseid Meteor Shower
All across the United States, astronomy fans stayed up late Saturday to catch a glimpse of the Perseids meteors streaking across the sky.
The Perseids meteors peaked during the evening of Aug. 11-12, with a viewing rate of as many as 100 meteors an hour.
Correction: Facebook commenter Matt Tazbin said that this video, originally our top pick from the weekend meteor shower, is from 2009, not 2012.
