A potent storm will bear down on the Midwest on Sunday, and the Chicago metro area stands to pick up accumulating snow and strong winds with plunging temperatures from the storm from later Sunday to Monday morning. Should the storm shift its track a bit to the southeast, the city and suburbs may end up in the heart of a blizzard with a foot or more of snow. At this time, enough snow to make roads slippery and to plow. Heavier amounts are likely to the northwest. Major travel disruptions are likely from Sunday night to Monday on the roads and at the airports.
