The colder air set to sweep across the Great Lakes by midweek will be accompanied by snow showers and harsh winds over the Midwest and Great Lakes on Wednesday and Thursday. This cold shot will wipe away the recent mild conditions in the Northeast, sending temperatures plummeting in the Northeast on Thanksgiving night. If the invasion of cold air coincides with a storm moving along the East Coast, snow could develop in New England on Thursday night into Friday morning.
