Devil's Lake Flooding Update

The Associated Press has finally picked up on the Devil's Lake story, one that I broke four years ago and most recently blogged about in May:

- Devils Lake Flooding Takes Another Road, Gets Attention (May 2010)- Devils Lake ND May Exceed 2,000 Year Levels (April 2009)- Devil's Lake Rising For 13 Years (September 2006)

Here's a new satellite comparison from NASA (mouseover to see the "before" image from 1984 vs. 2009). The AP also has an interactive slider version of this.

I'm not sure why they picked it up now, because the lake has not risen since the record levels that I blogged about in May. We have written a news story and I provided imagery for the video update below.
