Super Bowl 53: Chilly conditions linger in Atlanta before Friday warmup
Cold weather nearly caused major impacts for fans heading to the Super Bowl in Atlanta.
The Patriots and the Rams will square off in Atlanta on Sunday for the right to be crowned Super Bowl 53 champions.
As New England fights for its sixth Super Bowl title, it will mark the fourth time in the last five seasons the organization has appeared in the biggest game of the season.

The Rams will play for their second Super Bowl title, this time representing Los Angeles after moving from St. Louis in 2016.
Fans will flock to Atlanta this week before Sunday's game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

However, the temperature will start to climb late in the week, rising to near 60 on Friday.
As fans take part in the Super Bowl activities throughout the weekend at Centennial Olympic Park, conditions will be generally cloudy with temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s.

For Super Bowl Sunday, it can be a cloudy and damp day with a bit of rain, mainly in the morning.
Reuters reported on Thursday that the Mercedes-Benz Stadium roof could be left open for the game, as the rain is expected to clear out of the area by kickoff. Stadium officials were still awaiting final word from the NFL on whether it could be opened or not. The target temperature to open the roof is 60 F.
“You don’t get a lot of wind in here when [the roof is] open so I don’t expect wind to be a factor,” Mercedes-Benz Stadium General Manager Scott Jenkins told Reuters.
As fans pour out of the stadium, temperatures will have dropped into the mid-50s.
