A plane crashed shortly after taking off from Tehran, Iran, on Wednesday morning, killing all 176 passengers and nine crew members on board.
The Ukraine International Airlines plane was headed to the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv when a fire erupted in one of its engines, causing the pilot to lose control of the aircraft, according to The Associated Press (AP).

Flight data was lost just two minutes after the plane took off from Imam Khomeini International Airport, according to Flightradar24.
Debris was seen littering fields as rescue workers sifted through the rubble.
The sky was clear at the time of the incident with no precipitation in the area, according to weather observations from the airport. The temperature was in the middle 30s F (1-2 C).
The weather will be dry for continued cleanup efforts into the weekend.
