Photos: Rosa soaks Baja, southwestern US with heavy downpours
Rosa and a non-tropical storm soaked Mexico with heavy rain and flooding on Monday, before taking aim at the southwestern United States.
Several roads were closed in Phoenix on Tuesday morning due to flooding with some cars getting stranded on flooded roads.
On Tuesday 2.36 inches of rain fell in Phoenix, making it one of the top 10 wettest days in the city's history.
Schools across the area were closed on Tuesday due to the heavy rain and the risk of flooding.
Several days ahead of the storm, AccuWeather meteorologists predicted the rainfall amounts from Rosa could produce life-threatening flash flooding.
