Niagara Falls looks like a winter wonderland after this last cold snap

Niagara Falls might be giving the North Pole a run for its money this week.
The famous Horseshoe Falls turns over 681,750 gallons of water every second, according to the Niagara Falls State Park website. On top of the enormous amount of water the falls turns over, this last week has been so cold that the falls has become a frosty winter wonderland.
But don’t believe the internet rumors: The falls itself are not frozen solid. However, the area surrounding the rushing waters has been coated with thick frost and ice that makes the whole area look practically sparkling. This further proves that Niagara is not only a fun place to go in the summer, but also in the winter.
