Two killed in Tennessee by EF2 tornado, additional twisters in Kentucky
Two people were killed by an EF2 tornado Thursday night in Tennessee, after a tornado was confirmed Thursday morning in Kentucky.
Severe weather left behind significant storm and tornado damage in Kentucky on Feb. 6. These were some of the scenes of the storm in various locations in the state.
A mother and daughter were killed by a tornado in Deer Lodge, in Morgan County, Tennessee, Thursday night around 8:30 p.m., WATE reports. The town is 50 miles northwest of Knoxville, Tennessee. The National Weather Service (NWS) has preliminarily given the tornado an EF2 rating.

In nearby Sunbright, a high school basketball game was interrupted by a tornado warning, causing spectators and players to take shelter.
The NWS also confirmed an EF1 tornado in Hart County, Kentucky, from Thursday morning, an EF1 twister that occurred in Grainger County, Tennessee, near Thorn Hill, and another EF1 in Jackson County near Cummins Falls State Park. Additional damage across Kentucky and Tennessee will be surveyed by the NWS through the weekend.
