AccuWeather Global Weather Center, February 20, 2020 — Global weather and digital media leader AccuWeather today announced its official, exclusive partnership with Cricket West Indies (CWI). For the partnership, CWI’s broad, loyal fan base will have weather forecasts and matchday weather insights from the world’s most accurate and trusted weather brand.
Headquartered in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, CWI is the governing body for all professional and amateur cricket in their region. CWI are responsible growing and directing cricket throughout the 15 English-speaking Caribbean countries which come together as the West Indies International teams and represent the sporting heartbeat of the region.
The announcement was made during a ceremonial jersey-signing at AccuWeather’s New York Office at 7 World Trade Center.
With AccuWeather as the official weather forecast provider for the Cricket Board, CWI will have weather insights and data integrated in a widget on its website, providing fans a glimpse into specific weather conditions in store for upcoming matches. West Indies cricket fans will also enjoy the highly popular features such as the AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperature and AccuWeather Minutecast® precipitation forecast for the most well-rounded and accurate weather information, specifically targeting cities where matches are to be held.
