Widespread Severe Outbreak
A widespread severe weather outbreak is expected this week, with the worst part taking place on Tuesday. The government has issued a rare "Moderate Risk Of Severe Storms" for an area including much of the Tennessee Valley and AccuWeather.com has a similar forecast:
A "Moderate Risk" has not been issued by the government since mid-September. AccuWeather.com Professional's Joe Bastardi said in his morning blog: "This system really cranks tomorrow in the Tennessee and Ohio valleys. 15-30 tornadoes are possible tomorrow with this." To quote from our Breaking Weather News Page:
In fact a Tornado Watch is in effect, four Tornado Warnings were issued this afternoon and a tornado has already been reported near Haleyville, Alabama.
