Welcome, Wireless Users!
I'd like to say welcome to those of you who are reading my blog on your wireless device or cell phone today. Last night at midnight, we launched a brand new wireless website for AccuWeather.com, including advanced forecast and radar data, as well as news headlines and blogs, including mine.
AccuWeather is a leader in wireless weather and I'm thrilled to be on our wireless website. Now, my blog won't look quite the same on most cell phones (although you can actually read my regular blog on an iPhone and it looks incredible). If you're reading my blog on your average cell phone visiting AccuWeather.com then you'll notice there are no images, videos or links. Adding those is something we'll look into in the future. The other limitation is that it will only show my latest blog entry.
I will attempt to keep you mobile folks in mind when writing in the future, but feel free to text me at community @ accuweather.com to remind me if I start writing stuff that doesn't make sense without the accompanying multimedia.
And now that I've wasted my only wireless entry with an introduction, I'll tell you the other things I'll be talking about today - we have changed the radar colors on AccuWeather.com (web users check the Forums for more info). The DGEX and GFS models seem to be exchanging the snow in the Southeast for rain, but predicting a massive sleet storm for the Northeast (for next week's storm - web users check the previous entries for more info). Meanwhile this morning, up to
17 inches of snow fell in the southern Appalachians.
If you've never used AccuWeather.com on your cell phone, visit http://wireless.accuweather.com/ on your desktop computer to find out more about it. You can get AccuWeather.com Mobile for free, and find out more information about advanced services including streaming video!
