Tropical Development Affects Florida
A tropical cyclone developed off the coast of Florida yesterday, but was unnamed by the government's Hurricane Center until just now. It has existed since yesterday as a low pressure system (as indicated by the blue color in the image below), with a closed circulation (as indicated by the arrows and the satellite image).
It's not going anywhere quick and AccuWeather.com Professional's Joe Bastardi notes in his morning discussion: "Beach erosion and flooding will batter Florida over the next 3-5 days."
