Winter Olympics: Weather conditions should not hinder women's 2-person bobsled medal event
The women's two-person bobsled medal race is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 21, in PyeongChang, South Korea.
Conditions at the Olympic Sliding Centre should be ideal for racing as temperatures will be settle near minus 1 degrees Celsius (30 degrees Fahrenheit), according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Rob Richards.
The best conditions for bobsled racing are said to be clear and sunny with temperatures around 0 C (32 F) or below.
By the evening, temperatures will settle near minus 6 C (20 F).

Fans in the United States looking to watch the action live can tune in around 6:40 a.m. EDT Wednesday.
While the track at the sliding centre is covered, oftentimes winds can blow snow onto the track and this can slow racers down.
However, winds are expected to be light on Wednesday, Richards stated.
Canada took home the gold at this event at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, and 2010 in Vancouver. Bobsledder Kaillie Humphries will team up with Phylicia George to try to bring Canada its third straight gold medal.
