Milder air to surge across the UK into midweek
The chilly air that left some people shivering across the United Kingdom the past several days will be replaced by milder air on Wednesday.
The most significant warmth will be felt across parts of Wales and southern England where high temperatures will range between 7 and 10 C (45 and 50 F).
While not as mild as areas farther south, the remainder of the U.K. can still expect high temperatures 1-2 C (2-4 F) above normal.

However, the return of milder air will be accompanied by rain and patchy fog.
This fog could result in travel delays during the morning commute on Wednesday throughout the country.
Lingering rain on Wednesday morning could also disrupt morning travel in eastern Scotland and eastern England.

The rain is expected to end in London by sunrise, but wet roadways could still create travel slowdowns.
A period of dry weather is expected from Thursday into Friday before the threat for rain returns this weekend.
No shots of significant cold air are expected across the U.K., with temperatures remaining near to above normal across the entire country into early next week.
