- AccuWeather Network Debuts on Verizon FiOS TV, Providing Dedicated "All Weather, All the Time" Content to Customers
Last winter, I wrote that the weather game was about to change -- AccuWeather had begun preparations to launch its own national weather "television" channel. I'm putting "television" in quotes here because we wanted to launch it not only in traditional television outlets, but also in set-top boxes, the Internet and mobile devices.

Today, I can bring you the good news that the AccuWeather Network has launched nationally on Verizon FIOS, a network that reaches over 15 million people. This is a first-step to bringing the AccuWeather Network worldwide, and it will be available soon through additional methods.
"PRESS RELEASE: March 10, 2015 – AccuWeather, the global leader in weather information and digital media, and Verizon are bringing the AccuWeather Network -- the only “All Weather, All the Time” source for 24/7 weather broadcasts in HD -- to FiOS TV. AccuWeather’s trusted, personalized approach to severe weather alerts, news, and forecasts with Superior Accuracy™ now gives millions of TV households a smarter choice in weather programming across FiOS TV markets."

If you're not on Verizon FIOS, ask your television/cable/internet provider for the AccuWeather Network today. Soon, we'll have an updated website at GetAccuWeather.TV which details where, and how to see the AccuWeather Network, and lets you request it from your provider.

I got my first look at the AccuWeather Network on my wife's iPad late last week. After working here for nearly 20 years, I can't express the surreal feeling that our company has reached this milestone. True, television isn't what it used to be, but being on any national network is exciting because it exposes the AccuWeather name to new people who may have not realized there was an alternate weather service.
It started with the construction of a third television studio here at AccuWeather HQ earlier this year. This is where The AccuWeather Network has its home now, but it will continue to improve in scope and direction as we move forward with new technology, systems and data.
