Initial Snowstorm Forecast Map
A major storm will track toward the upper Ohio Valley Tuesday through Wednesday. This is likely to be one of the bigger snowstorms in the Chicago area in quite some time if the consensus track holds true.
The storm will lose a little punch by the time it gets into eastern Canada, but it still should be a significant snow event for many, and probably the biggest snowstorm of the season for some.
My forecast is based on the idea that the storm will be a little stronger and slightly farther north than the latest model forecast when it impacts Ontario, thus the idea that the heaviest snowfall in Ontario will be north of a line from Windsor, London and Toronto. Even though these cities should be mostly, if not all, snow during the duration of the storm, the steadiest, heaviest band of snow should eventually set up shop in the favored region farther north of the actual storm track.
I will keep you posted on any changes with the track.
