Toolbar Released in Time to Help Keep Users Safe in Case of Winter Weather

(State College, PA - January 30, 2007) - AccuWeather.com today announced the launch of a new weather toolbar developed specifically for users of Internet Explorer® 7. This free AccuWeather.com Toolbar gives customers at-a-glance access to all the breaking weather information that they need and helps keep users safe with proactive winter and severe weather warnings.

The toolbar displays the most commonly sought weather information, including current conditions and forecasts for the current day and night and the next day. Further information offered includes 15-day forecasts, local radar, and one-click access to weather videos. Perhaps most important, the toolbar delivers proactive notifications of severe and winter weather warnings. As special incentives for users, the toolbar offers regularly-updated AccuEggs™ - links to secret pages on AccuWeather.com that can be accessed only through the toolbar and which display interesting and unusual weather information.

"AccuWeather.com is continually looking for new ways to bring our users the most timely and accurate weather information wherever and whenever they need it," said Jim Candor, Senior Vice President of New Media for AccuWeather. "This toolbar lets the online population of IE7 users keep in constant contact with the weather that affects their lives so they can stay informed in the office or home and safe on the roads."

Other free toolbars and widgets available from AccuWeather.com include the TouchtheSky toolbar for Opera, ForecastFox toolbar available for FireFox users, netWeather™ v.2.0, and netWeather Video™ for inclusion of forecasts and videos in user web sites and blogs.

The toolbar is available for free download on AccuWeather.com. The download is simple and requires no registration.
