Wind Chills Below -70!
Wind chills are as low as -40 this morning on the U.S./Canadian border and in the -30s in Montana. The WeatherMatrix Current Weather Stats say that the coldest was -47.0 F overnight at Turner, MT.
But Saskatchewan is where the real action is. According to the map below, also from our Pro site, station WEH (Eastend Cypress, SK) dropped to -72 for a wind chill last night. (I'm not sure if this is the old or new government wind chill calculation, it was changed a couple of years ago). RealFeel temperatures, which take into account more than just wind and temperature, dropped as low as -57.
