2014 Holiday Gadget Sales: Webcams, Action Cams, More

Original Post Nov. 22, 2014. Latest update Dec. 31, 2014: There are a number of holiday (Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Holiday, Green Monday) sales happening this season with gadgets that can help you observe the weather. Many of these items I have at least used, if not reviewed. Even if the sale is over, this can give you an idea of the price to shoot for in future purchases. Even when the sales on Amazon are over, their regular price is often a significant chunk off of retail, so even for deals crossed out below, check prices. If you see other related deals, let me know. I will continue to update this page through New Years with new deals that I see.

- 64% off the Lytro Camera!: (As of 12/26) I have one of these at home. This is the original Lytro camera that you focus with software. That's right, you decide where to focus after you take the picture! Regular price $399!
- 51% Off NOAA WeatherRadio/Charger: (As of 12/25) This is not just a weather radio folks, it's also an AM/FM radio with a solar cell phone charger, and hand crank! (Was 59% off 12/18; Regular Price $47, 41% off)
- 30% Off Izon Camera: For December 17th (still valid as of this writing), Izon is offering a 30% off coupon for their cameras, taking the cost down to about $55 or $70 depending on the model. I was able to add more than one to the cart.
- $80* Off GoPro HERO4 Black: (Through 12/31?) For those of you on Brandon Sullivan's page who missed the GoPro HERO4 Black deal (see below), this new deal is not great in comparison, but it's better than nothing if you're still looking for one. *It includes a 32GB SD card, head strap, and $50 Amazon Gift Card for $499. So you're roughly saving $80. The only problem is that you'll shell out about $30 tax there, and could incur shipping costs if you're not on Amazon Prime.
