Record-Breaking Heat in the West
Several record high temperatures were broken across British Columbia over the past few days, and it looks like the heat will continue into Wednesday before it breaks.
Kamloops, BC, reached 40.7 C (105 F) on Sunday, which broke the old record of 39.4 C set back in 1961.
A significant front will finally arrive later Friday and put an end to the heat wave as temperatures trend back toward normal for the weekend. This front will also bring some needed rainfall, though not a lot.
