An arrest was made in the shooting death outside Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital early Saturday morning.
Police said someone shot and killed 41-year-old Scott Franklin. He was apparently on the phone with his girlfriend at the time.
Officers arrested 22-year-old Malcom DiPiña was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
Police said the murder happened where 5th Street South and 6th Avenue South meet, just outside the hospital entrance.
Franklin's family members shared pictures of their lost loved one with FOX 13 News Saturday. They were distraught about Franklin's killing.
According to a cousin, Franklin was on his way home from work, riding by JHACH. That's when surveillance cameras caught two or three cars following his, police said.
Just before 12:30 a.m., witnesses then heard gunshots. One of those witnesses spotted someone leaning out of a car at the same time.
They believed the suspects cars went to the next block and headed north.
