Snow heading out, warmup heading in
Our overperforming snowstorm is headed out to sea. The snow will hang around for a couple of days with cold air in place for another day or two. But, this will be our last major snow or ice storm for a while because a warmup is about to get going. It looks as though once the warmup begins, it will stay on the warm side most of the time for the next couple of weeks. That doesn't mean we will be totally ice and snow-free, though.
A generally quiet regime will be in place until Wednesday, even though sunshine will be limited in many places by high clouds streaming in from the Pacific. Things change at midweek as a new storm system takes shape...
