NFL Week 17: Brutal cold to persist for matchups in northern US
The final week of the regular NFL season is here with all 16 games taking place on New Year's Eve day.
Teams will be playing in the hope of securing playoff bids while other teams are battling for home-field advantages.
Take a look at the forecasts for the last week of regular season NFL action:

Green BayPackers at Detroit Lions - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST
Both Green Bay and Detroit are out of playoff contention and will conclude their seasons at Ford Field.
It will be rather cloudy and very cold on Sunday afternoon with nothing more than a flurry or two in spots.

Temperatures will be between 10 and 15 degrees Fahrenheit during the game outside the stadium, so fans will need to bundle up as they walk to and from their cars.
Those tailgating prior to kickoff will face single-digit temperatures and AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures near zero.
HoustonTexans at Indianapolis Colts - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST
In another matchup of teams out of the playoffs, Houston will travel north to Indianapolis this week.
It will be a bitterly cold day in Indianapolis on Sunday despite plenty of sunshine.

Temperatures outside the stadium during the game will only be in the lower to middle teens, with RealFeel temperatures in the single digits.
Anyone looking to tailgate before the game will need to be properly dressed for frigid conditions.
ChicagoBears at Minnesota Vikings - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST
The Vikings will try to cement their second-place seed in the NFC with a win over Chicago this week.
It will be a brutally cold day outside U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday afternoon. However, skies will be dry with clouds and some breaks of sun.

Temperatures will hover in the single digits throughout the game, meaning fans will be braced with a high near zero F at the end of the game.
For fans brave enough to tailgate outside prior to the game, they will face RealFeel temperatures between minus 5 and minus 10.
New York Jets at New England Patriots - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST
Tom Brady and the Patriots will try and clinch the top AFC seed and home-field advantage with a win over the Jets this week.
Conditions will be partly sunny, dry and frigid for the game. At kickoff, the high will be near 15 F and hold throughout the game.

Winds up to 10 mph won't have a major impact on play, but they will bring RealFeel Temperatures down to the single digits.
For those tailgating prior to kickoff, it will be partly sunny and dry with morning temperatures in the single digits rising to around 13 F by noon.
WashingtonRedskins at New York Giants - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST
Washington will travel to East Rutherford to take on the Giants this week.

Fans heading to MetLife Stadium should dress appropriately as they will experience sunny, cold and dry conditions. Temperatures will hover in the upper teens. However, winds will pull RealFeel Temperatures down to the single digits.
DallasCowboys at Philadelphia Eagles - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST
The Eagles will try to fend off the Cowboys this week at Lincoln Financial Field.
Despite sunny conditions, it will be a bitterly cold day in Philadelphia. Temperatures will be in the lower to middle 20s during the game with a biting northwest wind of 10-15 mph.

ClevelandBrowns at Pittsburgh Steelers - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST
The winless Browns will travel to AFC North rival Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon.

It will be partly cloudy and quite cold Sunday afternoon and evening outside the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta as the Falcons host the Panthers.

Temperatures in the middle 30s at the start of the game will fall to near 30 F by game's end, so fans should expect a chilly walk to and from their car to the stadium.
For those tailgating prior to kickoff outside the stadium, it will be partly sunny with light winds and temperatures in the upper 30s.
Kansas CityChiefs at Denver Broncos - Sunday, 4:25 p.m. EST
It will be a cold afternoon in Denver with clouds and some sunshine for the game between the Broncos and Chiefs.
Some light snow or flurries are possible, but the best chance will be in the morning hours prior to the start of the game. For the game itself, it is likely to be dry with an east wind of 5-10 mph.

Temperatures will be in the upper teens for much of the game with a RealFeel Temperature between 10 and 15 F.
JacksonvilleJaguars at Tennessee Titans - Sunday, 4:25 p.m. EST
The Titans can claim a playoff spot with a win over Jacksonville on Sunday afternoon.
Partly cloudy and cold conditions are forecast. The high at kickoff will be in the upper 20s F, falling to the mid-20s by the end of the game.

Fans will need to fully bundle up with hats, gloves, scarves and winter coats for the game.
San Francisco49ers at Los Angeles Rams - Sunday, 4:25 p.m. EST
Jimmy Garoppolo will try for his fifth win as the 49ers starter against the Rams at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
It will be sunny and comfortable in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon.

Temperatures will be around 70 F throughout much of the game with light winds from the southwest. For those tailgating prior to kickoff, it will be mostly sunny and dry with morning temperatures rising through the 60s.
BuffaloBills at Miami Dolphins - Sunday, 4:25 p.m. EST
It will be mostly clear and comfortable as the Dolphins host the Bills in Miami on Sunday afternoon.
Temperatures will be in the lower 70s F at kickoff and fall to the upper 60s F by game's end.

For those tailgating earlier in the afternoon prior to kickoff, it will be mostly sunny and dry with low humidity and high temperatures in the upper 70s F.
OaklandRaiders at Los Angeles Chargers - Sunday, 4:25 p.m. EST
The Chargers will look to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win over the Raiders.
It will be sunny and comfortable Sunday afternoon with temperatures in the middle and upper 60s throughout the game at the StubHub Center.

For morning tailgaters, it will be dry and mostly sunny with temperatures rising to 65 F by noon local time. At most, some tailgaters will need a sweatshirt or light jacket.
ArizonaCardinals at Seattle Seahawks - Sunday, 4:25 p.m. EST
The Seahawks need a win over the Cardinals on Sunday as part of their path to the playoffs this season.
It will be cloudy, dry and chilly in Seattle on Sunday afternoon with temperatures in the lower to middle 40s throughout the game.

For those taking part in pregame festivities, it will be in the upper 30s and low 40s with a light wind under a mostly cloudy sky.
New OrleansSaints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Sunday, 4:25 p.m. EST
The Saints are playing for a chance to clinch the NFC South as they take on Tampa Bay this week.
Conditions are forecast to be dry with a mix of clouds and sunshine at Raymond James Stadium.

Temperatures in the middle 60s F at kickoff will fall to the lower 60s F by the fourth quarter. At most, some fans may need a light jacket or sweatshirt by the second half of the game as temperatures cool down.
For those tailgating prior to the game, it will be partly sunny with temperatures in the upper 60s.
CincinnatiBengals at Baltimore Ravens - Sunday, 4:25 p.m. EST
