Dry, comfortable weather to dominate the UK this weekend
Dry weather will dominate the United Kingdom this weekend, bringing ideal conditions for many outdoor activities.
Whether just getting some fresh air, going for a hike or participating in sports, the weather is not expected to disrupt outdoor events. Anyone heading outdoors for an extended period will want to be prepared with sun cream.
Rain swinging toward France will make South West England the exception to the dry weather on Saturday. However, those partaking in Ten Tors will welcome the return of dry weather on Sunday.
The rain set to graze South West England on Saturday should bypass London to the south at night, giving residents and visitors ample opportunity to take in a rooftop movie at any of the three locations in Greater London on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.

While largely dry weather is expected throughout the weekend across the rest of the U.K., an odd shower cannot be ruled out across the Midlands on Saturday and near the east coast of England on Sunday.
Near-normal temperatures will prevail across the Midlands and near the eastern coastline of England and Scotland on Saturday, while temperatures climb slightly above normal elsewhere.
Sunday will be the warmest day overall as temperatures peak at 16-19 C (60-66 F) throughout England (away from the eastern coast), Wales, southwestern Scotland and much of Northern Ireland.

Along with the mild air, the best of the sunshine will be in western parts of the United Kingdom on Sunday with more cloud near and along the eastern coast.
A cool breeze set to blow from the east on Saturday will ease throughout the U.K. on Sunday.
The dry and pleasant weather will continue into Monday before the threat of showers increases from north to south on Tuesday and Wednesday.
