Racers and spectators will have to prepare for hot and steamy conditions for the 2018 Indianapolis 500, which is set to take place Sunday, May 27.

This Memorial Day holiday weekend will definitely feel like summer in Indianapolis.

The steamy air that soared across Indiana to start the holiday weekend will hold through Sunday.

Thunderstorms will become even more scarce on Sunday than on Saturday. Anyone at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will instead have to contend with the hottest weather of the racing weekend.

Temperatures are expected to challenge Sunday's long-standing record high of 94 from 1911. Amid sunshine and the continued humid conditions, AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures may reach the century mark.
