Latest clues to the weather pattern through July
By Brett Anderson, AccuWeather senior meteorologist

Latest atmospheric signals suggest that much of the Great Lakes, Northeast and eastern Canada will experience above-normal temperatures and below-normal rainfall for a large portion of July. Farther west, a dip in the jet stream will keep it cooler and wetter from the Prairies and Canadian Rockies on south into the interior Northwest of the United States.
Unfortunately, parts of eastern Canada and New England have been abnormally dry for quite some time and could use some rain. The fire season in Quebec is off to a quick start and I fear that this may be a long, smoky season in the boreal forest regions.
There may be an uptick in rainfall and thunderstorms over the Canadian Rockies during July.
