Three people were rescued after their car was swept away by floodwaters in Sambucetole, Italy, on June 9.
A stagnant weather pattern across Europe will bring multiple rounds of severe weather to the central and eastern parts of the continent through the end of the week.
A large storm system meandering over the regions will continue to produce areas of unsettled weather across the continent, but a boundary between warm air over far eastern Europe and cooler conditions over central Europe will be closely monitored by AccuWeather forecasters.
This clash of air masses will continue to produce strong to severe thunderstorms from the Baltic states to the northern fringes of the Balkan Peninsula each day through Friday.

On Monday, large hail was reported across this region, ranging in size from 2-4 cm (0.75-1.50 inches) to a couple reports of hail as big as 7 cm (2.75 inches), which is about the size of a baseball.
A tornado was also spotted in southern Lithuania.
Tuesday saw another day of severe weather for portions of eastern Europe. On Tuesday, a tornado was reported in Tauriv, Ukraine while farther north, damaging hail was reported across portions of Belarus, Lithuania and Latvia.
More severe storms are forecast to erupt across the region during the late week. Vilnius in Lithuania, Lviv in Ukraine and Bucharest in Romania are a few cities that may have severe storms sweep through by Friday.
The most likely time for the strongest storms to develop will be in the afternoon and evening hours each day.
"The main threats from storms developing through the end of the week will be large hail and damaging wind gusts," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys.
An isolated tornado cannot be completely ruled out as well.
Rounds of rain from heavy thunderstorms will also increase the risk of localized flooding, mainly in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Residents across the region should keep an eye to the sky and heed warnings from local officials as weather conditions could change rapidly into the afternoon hours, Roys added.
With not much change expected in the weather pattern after this week, unsettled conditions, especially in eastern Europe, could continue into the weekend.
