AccuWeather Announces Executive Leadership Elevations
Kurt Fulepp becomes President of Digital and Brian Baker has been promoted to Chief Product and Design Officer.
AccuWeather Global Weather Center, June 15, 2022 - AccuWeather, the most used and proven most accurate source of forecasts and warnings globally, proudly announced that Kurt Fulepp has been promoted to President of Digital, reporting to President Steven R. Smith. Brian Baker will become AccuWeather’s Chief Product and Design Officer, the position previously held by Fulepp. Both promotions are effective immediately.

Fulepp was hired to be AccuWeather’s Chief Product Officer in 2017. Under his supervision, the company redesigned and reengineered AccuWeather.com® website and released a reimagined version of its flagship award-winning AccuWeather app, rolled out the life-saving AccuWeather Hurricane Tracker™ providing a real-time visualization of tropical storms as they develop for users in hurricane-prone areas, and expanded the popular AccuWeather MinuteCast® feature from 2 to 4 hours leading up to its highly anticipated launch into Central and South America, Mexico and the Caribbean, making AccuWeather the only source for short-term forecasts in those areas, among other groundbreaking innovations.
As President of Digital, he will be responsible for all aspects of AccuWeather’s digital portfolio including product management and design, software development and technologies, audience development/growth and digital analytics, content and editorial (including the AccuWeather Network and the AccuWeather NOW™ streaming service), as well as overall digital strategy and business performance. Previously, Fulepp was Vice President, Digital General Manager - News and Business at Time, Inc. leading the digital brands of TIME, Money & Fortune. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Product at AOL, Inc., where he oversaw product management, technology and design of AOL’s core business of AOL.com, as well as a portfolio of lifestyle brands focused on food, style and weddings. During his time at AOL, Kurt also served as General Manager of MAKERS.com, providing end-to-end leadership for a first-of-its-kind multiplatform video destination, profiling exceptional women and their groundbreaking achievements. after a long career in media and technology.

Brian Baker
Reporting to Fulepp, Brian Baker joined AccuWeather in 2017 as Senior Vice President of Product and Design and his promotion to Chief Product and Design Officer is a natural evolution of his responsibilities. In this next chapter, Brian will continue building upon the progress made across the portfolio, as well as introducing new offerings including consumer subscriptions, streaming and a redesigned AccuWeather for Business product. Baker came to AccuWeather from The Walt Disney Company.
