Where: Whitehorse, Teslin, Kluane Lake, Champagne Landing, Watson Lake and Cassiar Mountains. Remarks: An Arctic ridge of high pressure is bringing very cold conditions to southern Yukon. Light winds combined with frigid temperatures will produce extreme wind chill values as low as minus 50. Some moderation of temperatures is expected Wednesday night into Thursday. ### Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes. Cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.
