Wind storm cuts power to millions
Yesterday's (March 8, 2017) wind storm knocked out power to millions* of people from Michigan through Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. Here at AccuWeather HQ and at my house in State College, the power went out for a few seconds several times, but we were lucky. The NWS received 430 reports of high winds, trees down, or power lines down (more info below). For DTE Energy in Detroit, it was the single-largest weather outage in their history!
