High wind gusts over 70 mph were reported today from high points you would expect...

Mount Washington, NH:: 108 mphGrandfather Mountain, NC: 106 mphMount Mitchell: 71 mph*

*Hourly data only.

But also from some coastal locations who got the squeeze in pressure gradients as a low pressure developed off the coast:

Salem, NJ: 75 mphKent, DE: 73 mphProvincetown, MA: 71 mph*

*Report looks a little suspicious.

Trees were reported down in the Carolinas, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
