Send Us Your Snow Reports...
UPDATE 12/5/09: I am monitoring the storm photos & snow amounts and am sending my updates today to our Twitter account (see below). We need YOUR obs & photos; instructions are underneath.
We'd really appreciate your snow reports this weekend and below I outline how you can get them to us.
In the past we had taken snow observations via Comments to our Blogs and also via the WeatherMatrix SnowMatrix. What we'd like to do this year is take advantage of our growing audiences on Twitter and Facebook to have you tell us what they weather is doing where you are. Here are the different ways you can let us know what's going on:
Send Us Your Photos -- Upload your snow pics to the AccuWeather.com Photo Gallery for a chance to get used in AccuWeather.com stories or on AccuWeather.com TV (the Local AccuWeather Channel)!
Tell us on Twitter -- if you're on Twitter, click the "Follow" button on our BreakingWeather Twitter Page to see our updates, then include the text "@breakingweather" in your tweets - this will make sure that we see it.
If you're not on Twitter, join! It's free and easy to use (literally all you do is register, login, and type stuff into the box at the top, as shown above). And while you're at it, you may wish to follow our other AccuWeather Twitter accounts; here's a list.
Tell us on Facebook -- if you're on Facebook, hit our Fan Page at Facebook.com/AccuWeather and type something in the box. It's that simple!
HINT: If you don't see the box, click on the "Become a Fan" button. If you're not on Facebook, join today! It's a great way to keep up with your past and current friends.
Get Wordy on our Forums -- If you want to chat at length about the weather probabilities with other weather enthuiasts, feel free to join the conversation on the AccuWeather.com Forums.
P.S.: If you want to be old-school, you can still leave Comments here on my blog or our other blogs, but be aware that if we are looking for reports, we're going to check the above sites more frequently.
