Oops! Embarassing Moments From Dr. Joe, Me
AccuWeather's veteran employee Dr. Joe Sobel (PREMIUM | PRO) wrote an unusually candor blog this morning about embarrassing moments that he's had as an on-air meteorologist, some of which I had heard tale of before, some not. It's worth a read.
I SEARCHED ISTOCK FOR AN HOUR AND THAT'S THE BEST I COULD FIND
Since I don't do much on-air work, I don't have anything that embarrassing to report, though there were a couple of snafus early on in the days of the Internet Department here, and it was never clear who's fault they were, but I was involved.
Once, when I was responsible for doing the Weather Headlines on AccuWeather.com, we kindly reminded people to turn their clocks back for Daylight Saving Time, the only problem was that it was Spring, and you were supposed to turn them forward. The other even involved inadvertently leaving the "i" off of Joe Bastardi's name when launching one of his hurricane forecasts on AccuWeather.com.
