Only Storm in Nation Headed For Me
Man, is this week's weather boring! We're in prime severe season with nothing going on. Don't get me wrong though, I appreciate the break in severe weather reporting -- I do have other duties that are falling behind.
But hark, what's this? It seems there is one thunderstorm in the nation this morning, and it's heading for AccuWeather Headquarters, i.e. my desk, in State College, PA!

That's a rarity, my friends. For one, we don't have a great track record of getting storms at all here, being on the leeward side of the Appalachians. Of course, the storm could still peter out before it gets here, but we do have one thing going for us -- I forgot my camera. I know, I know, every time we get a good thunderstorm here I don't have my camera, but I hate to drag in all my equipment every day during the Spring. NOTE: I do have a backup disposable camera in my briefcase, for this very situation. Don't tell the storm gods!
As further proof I offer up this AccuCam shot on which you can see the high anvil clouds from the thunderstorm spreading towards us:

AccuWeather.com RadarPlus confirms the anvil's spread (the "X" below Park Forest Village indicates my current position):

My new officemate Henry and I will keep a wary eye on the storm and we'll let you know if anything exciting happens.
