200 Warnings Issued, 78-Mph Winds

Nearly 300 Severe Thunderstorm Warnings have been issued today, and 30 counties are warned on right now. Three Severe Thunderstorm Watches (and one Tornado Watch) are currently in effect. Over 200 damaging wind reports have been issued by spotters. The latest two watches are shown on the NOAA graphic below:

As of 4 p.m. Eastern time, over 200 Severe Thunderstorm Warnings have been issued today and 78-mph winds were reported by a spotter in Arkansas. You can use the StormMatrix box below to keep track of the storm stats this evening. It will update automatically, just reload this blog entry.
CNN says the following in an article at 3:36 p.m. Eastern:
The 80-mph wind report was not carried by the National Weather Service. Tennis-ball-sized hail was reported in yesterday's storm reports.
