A Look at the Next Several Weeks
Short Range
The lake-effect snow is over; however, a NASA high resolution satellite image from earlier this afternoon nicely captured the freshly fallen snow over Ontario....
Temperatures will recover nicely Thursday/Friday in the east as the winds become more southwest.
Another shot of cold, Arctic air will push southward through western Canada late this week with snow falling along and behind the front in the Rockies and into the Prairies, especially from later Friday into Saturday. Not a major snowfall, but certainly enough to cause some travel disruption in places.
This cold front will reach eastern Canada around Tuesday of next week with initial rain and gusty winds followed by a quick turn to blustery and colder weather with some lake-effect snowfall.

Weekly Long-Range Update
The new ECMWF model has been very inconsistent from run to run lately, which gives us less confidence of the overall pattern as we go into early December. My interpretation also takes into account the latest U.S. CFSv2 model update, which will hopefully improve the skill.
