The Great American Race: What weather to expect for Daytona 500 this Sunday

Fans and drivers will be glad to know that dry, warm weather is in store for this year's Daytona 500 events in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Unlike the weather for The Clash last weekend, rain delays are not expected to impact any races in the coming days.
Dry weather will prevail with clouds and sunshine again on Sunday. The high will be near 80 F.
The increasingly warm weather may be uncomfortable for racers or those not yet used to the heat.
Fans will want to make sure they remain properly hydrated and protected from the sun throughout the day, especially if they have traveled from a cooler climate. Conditions will turn cooler after sunset around 6:15 p.m. local time, when sweatshirts will come in handy.
Sunshine and some humidity may push AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures to the mid-80s. While these temperatures are not unusual for Florida, it is several degrees above average for this time of year.
If the temperature hits 80 F on Sunday, it will be the fifth time temperatures have reached that milestone during the Monster Energy Series race since 2003.

Hats, sunglasses, light-colored clothing and plenty of water will be necessary for fans to make the most of the warm, sunny days. Those who traveled from somewhere with colder winter weather can benefit from limiting alcohol intake until they have acclimated to the heat.
