Study ranks AccuWeather 1st in worldwide forecast accuracy
ForecastWatch recently named AccuWeather the most accurate weather provider in one-to-five-day-out global temperature forecasts.
The results came from a ForecastWatch study, a leading weather forecast monitoring and assessment company.
ForecastWatch's report combined one-to-five-day-out high and low temperature forecasts, ranking top providers of consumer weather forecasts worldwide.
They collected 11.4 million high and low temperature forecasts for 1,145 locations throughout the world for the first six months of 2016 and compared them with the actual high temperature, low temperature and overall temperature - average of the high and low temperature - occurring each day.

The third-party evaluation names AccuWeather the most accurate source of overall temperature forecasts measured through a mean absolute error score and percentage of forecasts within 3 degrees.
AccuWeather is also first in high temperature forecast accuracy, in addition to the top ranking in low temperature forecast accuracy, both measured in mean absolute error scores and percentage of forecasts within 3 degrees.
Weather is a main forecast data point for consumers and businesses that significantly impacts decisions across activities and industries.
