Severe storms will continue to pound the Midwest with damaging winds and heavy rain through Tuesday morning.

Some areas have received as much as nearly 5 inches of rain since early Monday evening, including parts of Ohio, Illinois and Indiana.

A tornado reportedly touched down in Andrews, Indiana, around 8 p.m. CDT. No damage or injuries have been reported.

The heavy and slow-moving storms will heighten the risk for flooding, according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Faith Eherts.

The morning commute is likely to be impacted by flooded roads, downed trees and power outages as local authorities respond to the overnight damage.

As of 6 a.m. CDT, several highways and many county roads are closed due to flooding in southern Cass County, Indiana, emergency management reports. Two roads washed out and one bridged collapsed near the town of Deacon.

Much of Howard County, Indiana, has street flooding due to the night's severe weather.

Cass County, Indiana, received 3.48 inches of rain over the course of 24 hours, as of 2 a.m. CDT Tuesday.

As of 2:30 a.m. EST Tuesday, a separate set of storms have developed in western Pennsylvania.

"As slow-moving storms continue to drench parts of Illinois and Ohio into the early morning, an area of strong storms will develop over western PA and track into northcentral PA," said Eherts.

"These storms could bring similar threats, including flooding and damaging wind gusts," she said.

Evacuations have begun for parts of Cass County, Indiana as there are “a tremendous number of impassable roads" due to flash flooding. U.S. Highway 35 is closed between Walton and Logansport, as well as portions of Hoosier Heartland in Carroll County.

Residents in southern Logansport are being evacuated to a nearby elementary school.

Rainfall totals have flowed in from Monday. Venedocia, Ohio, received 6.3 inches throughout Monday. 4.73 inches were recorded on Monday in Kalida; Convoy received 2.39 inches of rain over the course of 24 hours.
