More than 100 missing after ferry capsizes in Indonesia
Six people were confirmed dead and 129 people were missing.

Sept. 13 (UPI) -- A ferry sailing between the Indonesian islands of Java and Borneo capsized after encountering bad weather and rough waves Sunday, leaving 129 people missing, local authorities said.
Emergency officials said the vessel, a Virgo Transport8 ship, was carrying 243 people at the time it capsized. Basarnas, Indonesia's search and rescue agency, rescued 108 people, Euronews reported.
Six people were confirmed dead and 129 people were missing.
BBC News reported that rescue ships and helicopters were deployed to the scene to search for survivors.
At last contact, around 2 a.m. Sunday, the vessel was about 93 miles south of Banjarmasin.
Rescue official I Putu Sudayana told reporters waves were more than 8-feet high as they searched the waters for survivors.
"Even our Basarnas vessel, which is [131 feet] long, is at great risk," Sudayana said.
