Dog rescued after falling through ice in Maine river
Emergency workers donned water rescue suits to enter the river and retrieve the pup from the icy water.

A dog was rescued Monday after it fell through the ice into a river in Maine, officials said.
Clinton Fire Rescue responded to a report of a dog through the ice in Clinton, a town located about 50 miles southwest of Bangor. Firefighters requested assistance from Fairfield-Benton Emergency Services and the Skowhegan Fire Department.
One crew member from Clinton Fire Rescue and one crew member from Fairfield-Benton Emergency Services donned water rescue suits to enter the river and retrieve the pup from the icy water.

Photos shared by Clinton Fire Rescue show the dog wrapped in blankets receiving first aid.
