One person is dead and dozens injured after a landslide derailed a commuter train traveling towards Barcelona, Spain on Nov. 20.
One person is dead and dozens injured after a landslide derailed a commuter train traveling toward Barcelona, Spain, on Tuesday.
The incident occurred when two train cars came off the tracks early on Tuesday morning near Vacarisses, according to the Associated Press. Vacarisses is located about 45 km (28 miles) northwest of Barcelona.
A total of 131 people had to be evacuated from the train. Out of the 44 people injured, 11 were sent to the hospital. Three people sustained serious injuries.

Northeastern Spain has been in the midst of a stretch of wet weather recently.
Barcelona recorded nearly 60 mm (2.36 inches) on 15 November, according to preliminary weather data. Additional rain followed over the weekend with about 6 mm (0.25 of an inch) each day.
When the rain from earlier in the month is added in, Barcelona has received nearly double the normal rainfall for all of November. October ended with 123 percent of the month's typical rain.
"A couple of showers can dampen cleanup operations into Tuesday night," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Rob Richards. "It will become dry and partly sunny on Wednesday."
The dry weather can hold through Thursday before rain increases in intensity on Friday into Friday night.
If the rain pours down heavily for a time, additional isolated landslides could be triggered.
