Hurricane Maria: Cat 5 monster to raze U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico
It's hard to not feel a solemn worry tonight (Tuesday night September 19, 2017) for the U.S. Virgin Islands, who are about to get razed by Category 5 Hurricane Maria. Here's the satellite at 7 PM ET:

Another exceptionally strong storm of the season, it was only a Category 1 just yesterday morning. It became the first major hurricane to hit the island of Dominica, which was completely devastated. Tonight, it may be the strongest hurricane to ever hit the Virgin Islands; tomorrow, Puerto Rico -- both of which are still reeling from Hurricane Irma less than two weeks ago.
As we move through Wednesday and beyond, I'll have more information in my blog. Until then, please follow WeatherMatrix on Facebook & Accu_Jesse on Twitter for updates.
