Arthur Strengthens as the Northeast Broils

The video shows computer model tracks for Arthur, the tropical storm now growing stronger off the Florida coast. It also shows the expected progress of a mass of dry air advancing from the Great Lakes today to the Northeast coast in time for Saturday and Sunday.

This detailed pressure map can be helpful in identifying boundary zones along which clouds, showers and thunderstorms can form.
