...FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Morning low temperatures as cold as 33 to 37 degrees in much of the area could cause frost formation. * WHERE...Portions of north central Kansas and central, east central, and south central Nebraska, including the Tri Cities. * WHEN...Until 9 AM CDT this morning. * IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Frost development is not a sure thing across the entire Advisory area, given that temperatures in some places may not get quite cold enough, or stay cold enough for a long enough time, to allow frost to form. However, at least patchy frost, if not more widespread areas of frost appear likely in some places, especially within counties west of Highway 281. Beyond this morning, there are currently no additional frost concerns through at least May 9th. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. &&
